On 11 September Marion van de Voort, chairman of our foundation, attented a meeting of the ambassadors of Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. The meeting was meant to launch the new tourist visa for East Africa. Marion was interviewed by Africa Television Europe during the meeting. She told about the work of Pamoja Kenya. “One of the starting points of our foundation is that we believe that the people should be self supporting. For that reason we also cooperate with local authorities. Philip Kahindi is representative of our foundation in Kenya. He knows the needs of the people there from personal experience. On 20 November we organise a benefit evening to raise money for our projects for water and sanitation. Water is life! I welcome the arrival of the new visa. It makes travel to those three countries a lot easier. Pamoja Kenya has a webshop for products from Kenya. We want to expand with products from Uganda and Rwanda.”
