We’re going to work together with Wilde Ganzen!

Wilde Ganzen have approved our project for construction of a well and installation of a water pump. That means that Wilde Ganzen will increase the amount we collect with Pamoja Kenya ourselves with 50% of the total budget that is needed. Therefore we have to collect funds ourselves to end up with the total budget, with the contribution of Wilde Ganzen. An amount of € 5,000 is required for the project. We need to collect € 3,350 ourselves, Wilde Ganzen will add € 1,650.

On my way to Kenya!

It’s time to go to Kenya again. I’m going to check the status of our projects and see what new projects we can proceed. With two projects we want to start soon.

  • We will install a water tap in the public toilets we have built near the trade centre in Matsangoni last year. That makes it possible for the inhabitants of the villages to tap fresh water there, on payment of a small fee. Via Get It Done we have collected the money we need for this project.
  • We will see if we can start up Toilet in the Jungle Part 2. This project consists of the construction of a toilet unit next to the water pump we have installed in Matsangoni early 2014. For the investment of € 1,000 for this project we use a part of the proceeds of the benefit evening of 20 November. Your contribution will be spent well right away!

You can follow my journey to our projects in Kenya. I will write about my experiences on www.facebook.com/StPamojaKenia.

Are you coming with us to see our projects?

We want to organize a project trip in September/October for anyone who is interested in seeing our projects with their own eyes. The journey is at your own expenses. We expect to start our ‘Wilde Ganzen-project’ for the well and pump around that time.

We keep our ANBI status!

Behind the scenes we have worked very hard to complete our annual accounts and policy plan, with the help of others. These days a foundation must meet considerable demands of the tax authorities to keep the ANBI status (ANBI = public welfare institution). With our annual accounts and policy plan we meet those requirements.

For the annual accounts we have received help from someone who is an expert in the area of foundations. He also took care of the financial section, besides the work of our treasurer. Without asking any charges! Of course we are very grateful for that!

It was a wonderful benefit evening!

Our benefit evening on 20 November was a successful evening and the turn-out was good. Everyone who was there has a warm heart for Kenya and that is extraordinary, when you consider the amount of charities these days. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable evening with great food and nice people. The guest speakers were very enthusiastic. For a complete overview go to www.pamoja-kenya.com.

Save the date: network evening on June 22

Make a note in your agenda: on Monday 22 June we organize an inspiring network evening in a surprising location in The Hague. We keep it a secret for now how the evening will look like. But of course we hope that you will be there!
